Between 1999 and 2004, I was the CTO of Psynapse Technologies, a Washington, DC technology startup, working to develop a behavioral-based network intrusion protection system. We received the initial funding of $11M from DARPA and the US Navy to develop the technology and create a commercial offering.
As the Chief Architect, I recruited and led a team of high-performing hardware, networking, and application developers to take the idea and concept of applying neural networks in a networking application and develop the Checkmate Intrusion Protection System (IPS) network appliance.
Review this on-location episode of World Business Review by the former US Secretary of State General Alexander Haig to learn more about Psynapse Technologies and Checkmate IPS.
