Microsoft had acquired Github. Along with minting happy, new billionaires, this had also caused #MovingToGitlab to trend on Twitter, as many project owners started to consider #Gitlab as the most viable open source and hosted alternative. Responding to this surge in interest, Gitlab showed off extended support to the open source community by making its high-end code hosting plans free to their projects. (Forbes)

What would you run on a 28-core multithreaded CPU? I am sure we’ll eventually find the applications that will make good use of this processor that was announced in Tuesday’s keynote address by Gregory Bryant at this year’s Computex in Taipei. (Tom’s Hardware, TechCrunch)
